Traci Otey Blunt was promoted to senior vice president of corporate communications and public affairs for The RLJ Companies.  In her new role, Blunt will lead a team responsible for media strategy and communications, government relations, and issues management and planning. She will continue to be based out of The RLJ corporate headquarters located in Bethesda, Maryland.

Blunt, who has more than 15-years experience leading public relations efforts for corporate and non-profit organizations and working on political campaigns joined The RLJ Companies last year as vice president of communications and public affairs. She previously worked as a media director for now Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential bid and over the years has counseled local, state, and federal political candidates and elected officials throughout Tennessee and the District of Columbia.

Prior to joining the Clinton campaign, Blunt served as a vice president and deputy director for the multicultural practice at Ogilvy Public Relations in D.C. She is an honors graduate of Tennessee State University.
