Let me first say that I feel we should definitely be extending
unemployment insurance and health care benefits to those who need it
most. At its very core, to make sure that those people who are
unemployed can still pay their bills, put food on the table, and keep
clothes on their back, is something we all should be able to agree on.
In the richest country of the world, to have people going hungry is a
travesty.
The Copenhagen Accord reached at the end of 2009 provides a platform
for business and political leaders from developing countries to take
measures that will ensure long-term sustainability and real benefits to
the citizens and environment of their countries in addressing climate
change issues.
