When it comes to having a bad credit history versus no credit history,
consumers tend to think the latter is better. Contrary to what these
consumers might think, the outcome – in some cases – is the same.
Blacks and Hispanics are less likely than Caucasians and Asians to apply
for a mortgage to purchase a home in the first place, but when they do,
they also are much less likely to be approved, according to a joint
report by Zillow and the National Urban League.
