In a grueling, tight race with razor-thin margins, President Barack Obama emerged as the victor in last night’s re-election for the White House. Not only did the president win the electoral votes in the coveted battleground states of Ohio, Iowa, Virginia, New Hampshire, Colorado and Nevada, he won Massachusetts and Wisconsin as well, the hometowns of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, respectively.
He won Ohio at 11:18 p.m., bringing his electoral vote total to 274 – 4 points over the 270 points needed to win the election.
And in true Barack Obama style as the ever gracious, ever humble leader, he had this to say to the American people: Thank you for your support. We're in this together.
