While it’s unlikely to make a dent in his multi-million dollar fortune, the NBA has fined the New Jersey Nets $50,000.00 because of hip-hop legend Jay-Z’s brief visit in the Kentucky Wildcats’ locker room on March 27. Jay-Z, the New Jersey Nets’ minority owner, spent a few moments with some awestruck college basketball players after the Wildcats defeated North Carolina in the quarterfinals of the NCAA basketball tournament. The penalty was issued on Friday, April 8, 2011. NBA rules prohibit inappropriate contact with future draft picks.
