NY’s television industry is about to see some much-needed parity. The launch of the Made in NY Writers Room will provide talented writers from diverse backgrounds with the tools they need to excel in NYC’s thriving television production space.
Yvette Mouton wears two hats, yet she has one ultimate goal---to make
the corporate vendor and supplier base across the region
multi-chromatic. As the recently appointed president of the NJ Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development
Council, Mouton is at the forefront of uniting minority and women
owned business enterprises with utilities across the region.
Business experts nationwide seem to agree that funding remains to be
one of the biggest hurdles for emerging developers, particularly
minority and women-owned firms. The NYC Economic Development Corp, in partnership with Basis Management
Group, LLC, hopes to tackle that problem with the launch of Emerging
Developer Loan Fund, which includes $10 million of capital
committed by NYCEDC.
