This week, L’Oreal USA will add Carol’s Daughter, a successful beauty
and skincare company created for and by African-American women, to its growing
roster of beauty brands. According to several news reports, the deal was inked a month after
Carol's Daughter's retail division exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The launch of the Entrepreneurs Circle, a new initiative underwritten by Credit Suisse, will offer several forms of access - including bank loans and wealth advice - to African-American business owners.
My Image Studios L.L.C. (MIST) and Madiba Restaurant have partnered to
create a unique culinary and entertainment destination in West Harlem.
Now, the venue offers South African cuisine as well as diverse cultural
experiences including music, film, concerts and more. MIST is
located in Harlem's first Gold LEED certified building at 40 West 116th
Street of the Kalahari Building and now with its new partner, Madiba,
recently had a re-launch.
