Kenya's president signed a new constitution into law Friday that
institutes a U.S.-style system of checks and balances and has been
hailed as the most significant political event since Kenya's
independence nearly a half century ago.
A season-ending injury hasn't stopped Usain Bolt from celebrating. The world's fastest man turned 24 over the weekend and then signed a
three-year contract extension with German apparel company Puma on
Tuesday that is said to be the biggest for a track and field athlete.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration granted Nigeria its top
air-safety rating Monday, a decision that allows Nigerian airlines to
fly directly to the United States but does not address the nation's
porous airport security.
