DESCRIPTION
The Westchester Black Nurses’ Association, Inc (WBNA) is a local chapter of the National Black Nurses Association, Inc. We are a professional organization of African American nurses from the Westchester county and the surrounding areas.
Our goals include, but are not limited to the following:
-Exploring health care needs the impact African Americans, and working towards improving health care of the African-American community
-Recruiting, supporting, and mentoring African American men and women into nursing
-Networking with fellow nurses and collaborating with professional and community organizations, school and churches.
Membership is extended to RNs, LPNs, retired nurses and student nurses. As a member you will participate in community outreach programs, health fairs, health screenings educational and mentoring programs.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month @ 6pm at St Francis & St Martha's Church. 575 Tarrytown Road, White Plaisn, New York.
