SUNY College at Old Westbury and the Small Business Development Center of Farmingdale State College will jointly host the Second Annual College Regional MWBE Conference on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. A procurement conference for operators of minority and women-owned businesses, the event will serve as a venue for entrepreneurs and business owners to take workshops from and network with officials from New York State, procurement personnel from area SUNY campuses, and regional-based agency staff. Included during the conference will be an overview of the procurement opportunities available at SUNY campuses across Long Island and information and insights into the Empire State Development MWBE Certification process. The Second Annual College Regional MWBE Conference will be held in the Duane L. Jones Recital Hall in the SUNY College at Old Westbury Campus Center. Registration for the MWBE conference is $35 and reservations can be made by contacting the Office of Purchasing at SUNY College at Old Westbury at (516) 876-3193.
