There are many reasons why someone may need to take an extended leave
from the work force--from pregnancy and parenting to health issues and
continued education to reanalyzing one’s career. But once you
decide to re-enter the work force it may not be that easy. But there are
steps you can take to make the transition back go smoother.
Currently the managing partner at CW Consulting Group, co-founder
for The Legacy Initiative and a member of the American Association of
Blacks in Energy, Charles Wilson is not only focused on building that pipeline
for inner-city kids who have similar interests in his field of study; he
also aims to help teens tap into their passions. Here, TNJ.com sits down with him to talk energy.
In Misty Copeland’s autobiography, ‘Life in Motion’ she writes, “I remember the first time I stood on the stage
at the Metropolitan Opera House…I traced the marley floor with my pointe
shoes and imagined myself…as a principal dancer. It felt right. It felt
like a promise: someday, somehow, it was going to happen for me.” For Copeland, that day has come. This
week, she was named principal
dancer at ABT. She is the first Af-Am female ballet dancer in ABT’s
75-yr history to hold the title.
