Nielsen Holdings this week announced the promotion of Angela Talton to Chief Diversity Officer. Previously, Talton served as Senior Vice President, Global Diversity and
Inclusion, and she will continue to oversee Nielsen's diversity and
inclusion programs including supplier diversity, training and employee
Keisha Taylor was appointed senior vice president-integrated marketing
at Learfield Sports. She has been with Turner Broadcasting for the
past 10 years, most recently as senior director of entertainment
marketing for TNT and TBS.
Vivienne C. La Borde has been appointed Director of Government and
Community Engagement for Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) where she will manage relations between LCPA and the city, state and federal
government, reinforcing Lincoln Center’s role as a civic institution as
well as a performing arts center.
At an institution noted for its award-winning scholars, it was
apropos for author Colson Whitehead to grace City College in a lecture
and conversation with Dr. R. L'Heureux Lewis-McCoy. Whitehead,
the recipient of many awards, including the MacArthur award in 2002,
was on campus recently as the concluding speaker in the Black Studies

Broadcasting Co.’s New York flagship station. African-American Brenda Blackmon and Asian-American WPIX veteran Kaity
Tong will be the faces of PIX11’s new 6:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m. weekday newscast,
the only local news airing in the market at that time.
