Jim Colon is the new president of business strategy at Toyota. Prior to this, he served as vice president of Toyota product communications.
He is charged with "developing a framework for Toyota to engage with the African-American business and media communities."
Colon joined Toyota in 1980. His tenure at the company includes several positions such as general manager for the Chicago and Portland regions. He also served as vice president of sales for the Toyota division.
A member of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Colon has a bachelor’s degree in economics and business from Manchester College.
