Bob Meadows was named deputy editor of ESSENCE magazine. He will oversee the News and Culture sections of the magazine. For 11 years, he was a writer, editor, and reporter with People magazine. He also worked as a reporter at the Charlotte Observer. ESSENCE is the number one media and communications company dedicated to African-American women. This year, it celebrates its fortieth anniversary.
