Amy DuBois Barnett was appointed the new editor-in-chief of EBONY magazine. She replaces Harriette Cole. Barnett has held top executive positions at publications such as Honey and Harper's Bazaar. Prior to her Deputy Editor-in-Chief position at Harper's, Barnett was the managing editor of Teen People. In this role, she became the first African-American woman to head a mainstream consumer magazine. Barnett is the author of 'Get Yours! How to Have Everything You Ever Dreamed Of and More'.
