Suffolk Law School’s first Corporate Counsel Institute: In-House from the Inside, offers a unique approach to respond to the educational and developmental needs of in-house counsel. Designed by and for corporate counsel, attendance will be limited to in-house attorneys to maximize the opportunity to discuss and share ideas with professional peers about legal and operating concerns. The Institute focuses on three aspects of the in-house world: 1.The view from the C-suite on what constitutes the ideal legal business partner 2.Current legal challenges facing in-house counsel (and best practices for solving these challenges) 3.Strategies for the in-house lawyer on delivering the full value of the in-house legal team to the organization Be privy to perspectives from senior executives on the role of in-house counsel, effective interactions between in-house counsel and company leaders, the skill sets required to be a successful in-house lawyer, and the ways in which in-house lawyers add value. You will also hear from a distinguished group of general counsel on the “hot” legal issues confronting companies today. Join a discussion with a group of distinguished general counsel on strategies for the in-house lawyer on delivering full value to their companies. How can in-house counsel get and keep a “seat at the table,” manage conflict, deal with ethical issues, foster effective teamwork and communication, and empower junior in-house counsel?
