Dr. Kevin C. Greenidge, SUNY Downstate’s chairman of Ophthalmology, has been voted trustee-at-large by the American Academy of Ophthalmology and its Eye M.D. Association, the world’s largest association of eye physicians and surgeons. Dr. Greenidge maintains a private practice at Long Island College Hospital.

Kimberly Mitchell has joined FCF Schmidt Public Relations as senior account executive, responsible for managing all public relations for the National Pest Management Association. Mitchell was previously employed as an account executive for Dudnyk Public Relations in Horsham, PA. Mitchell holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Penn State University.

Robert L. Wilkins has joined the Venable law firm in Washington, D.C. as a litigation partner in the corporate defense and white-collar crime group. He will also handle general commercial litigation. Wilkins was also recently appointed by the U.S. Senate to a presidential commission to oversee the planning and construction of a National African-American Museum. Wilkins holds a law degree from Harvard University.

Tracye E. Smith has been appointed executive director of the Chicago Minority Business Development Council. Previously, Smith was business development officer of business banking at ShoreBank in Chicago, where she founded the ShoreBank African-American Women Business Owner’s Advisory Council. Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Jackson State University and an MBA from Atlanta University. .
