Michael Bivens is president of National Urban Fellows Inc. (NUF), a mid-career graduate fellowship program for women and minorities. Bivens served as education director for the Coca-Cola Foundation for more than 10 years, and was chairman of NUFs board.
Ronald E. Childs is director of the newly created media relations services department at Flowers Communications Group Inc., an African-American-owned public relations firm in Chicago. Childs was previously at Burrell Communications Group LLC.
Reta J. Lewis, vice president and counselor to the president of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, has been named director of Access America, a new program to develop strategic relationships with minority businesses. Lewis was a partner with Greenberg Traurig, a law firm in Washington, DC.
Stephanie M. Boyd has been promoted to director of sales and marketing at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. Boyd, who has more than 10 years in the hospitality industry, has worked at the PCC for six years.
