Geof Rochester has joined Showtime Networks in New York as senior vice president of marketing. Rochester previously worked at ISun Networks where he was chief marketing officer. Rochester earned an MBA with a major in marketing from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
William C. Thompson Jr. was elected New York Citys comptroller in November and took office in January. Thompson ran as a candidate for both the Democratic and Working Families parties. Thompson previously served as president of the citys Board of Education and as deputy borough president of Brooklyn. He received a BA in political science from Tufts University.
Nikki Wright has joined King World/CBS Enterprises in New York, where she handles publicity for the daytime talk program The Ananda Lewis Show. Wright attended the University of Pennsylvania, and then Temple University, where she received a bachelors degree in psychology.
Michael C. Smith has been appointed assistant commissioner for Economic & Financial Opportunity Programs. Smith has served DBS for 9 years as chief of staff to the commissioner and as senior manager for the business improvement districts. He received his BA from Baruch College and lives in Brooklyn.
