Dr. Cornelia Wills

Dr. Cornelia Wills of Middle Tennessee State University is vice-president of the Tennessee Association for Institutional Research, which serves professionals in higher education institutions and agencies in management research, policy analysis, and planning. 


She is the first African American and first woman to hold the position of director of Institutional Research at the university. 


She has held numerous positions of responsibility since joining the university in 1989, and she is listed in Who’s Who Among African Americans, and Who’s Who Among American Women. 


She received her B.S. from Austin Peay, and her M.Ed. and Ed.D. from the the Middle Tennessee State University.

 

 


Brenda J. Gaines

Brenda J. Gaines is now the president of the U.S. division of Diners Club North America, after only a few months as president of the U.S. division of this Citigroup subsidiary. She also serves on DCI’s international board.


Gaines has served as DCI’s executive vice president of corporate card sales, and worked with citibank from 1988 to 1992 when she joined Diners Club.


As executive vice president, she made significant contributions to the Diners Club business in the U.S. and internationally and won the Citicorp Service Excellence Award in 1977. As a leader in the business community, she won the Black Achievers in Industry Award and the Urban Bankers Forum Pioneer Award in 1996.

 

 


Peter Roby

Peter Roby, 43, has been appointed as Reebok International’s vice president of consumer marketing. He is responsible for the development and execution of marketing plans for the U.S. He will also be responsible for the company’s retail presence strategic plan and strategic planning.


Before his new appointment, Roby was the group director of U.S. brand marketing responsible for strategic positioning of the Reebok brand in the cross-training, cleated, basketball, and urban markets.


Before joining Reebok in 1991 as manager of basketball promotions, he was head basketball coach at Harvard University. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1979 with a bachelors of arts degree in government. He resides in Newton, Mass.

 

 


Christopher M. Jackson

Christopher M. Jackson, 32, is principal of The Vanguard group’s Individual Investor Group, where he oversees the image and exception processing departments. 


He began his Vanguard career in 1988 in the client services department, and has held various positions including supervisor of individual transaction processing, and senior manager. He grew up in Philadelphia, PA, and attended Embry-Riddle University. He lives in Norristown.
