Renowned as one of the top cardiologists is the country, Olakunle Akinboboye, M.D., serves as medical director for the Laurelton Heart Specialists in Laurelton, N.Y., a private practice he opened in 1994 that has blossomed into a diverse imaging and treatment facility offering medical services in the areas of heart disease, kidney disease, blood pressure and diabetes. The Nigerian-born cardiologist has declared war on these diseases, which he says are the key problems inflicting the minority community.
