Scott Mills
Scott Mills was named president and chief operating officer for BET Networks. He will lead the company’s business operations, including advertising sales, content distribution and marketing, legal and business affairs, as well as finance, and will report directly to Debra Lee, chairman and chief executive officer. Prior to becoming COO, Mills was executive vice president and chief operating officer of BET Interactive. He joined BET in 1997 as senior vice president of strategy and business development. Previously, he was a vice president at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and deputy treasurer for the City of Philadelphia. Mills has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Denmark West
Denmark West was appointed president, Digital Media, at BET Networks. He will lead a portfolio of digital brands, including BET.com, BET Mobile, and BET on Demand, and will oversee the development and implementation of the company’s global digital strategy. Prior to this appointment, West served as executive vice president and chief of operations for Global Digital Media at MTV Networks. He also worked in distressed securities trading in the fixed income division at Goldman, Sachs and Co. and in investment banking at Brenner Securities Corp. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Harvard University.
T. Hudson Williams
T. Hudson Williams was named vice president of diversity and multicultural initiatives at Time Warner Inc. She will promote the culture of inclusion at Time Warner and will work with corporate and divisional leadership to implement strategies that support diversity across Time Warner’s businesses. Previously Hudson Williams was at Toyota Motor North America Inc., where she was director of corporate diversity. She was honored this year as one of The Network Journal’s 40 Under-Forty achievers. Hudson Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Southern Illinois University and a master’s in business administration from Xavier University. She serves on the Executive Advisory Council of the Urban League’s Black Executive Exchange Program.
