    Allison E. Green
    Senior Vice President,
    Chief Diversity Officer
    Lincoln Financial Group
    Radnor, PA.

Allison E. Green has worked to exemplify leadership through a spirit of generosity, by inspiring others to tap into their individual strength, and by guiding people toward unearthing their potential. Senior vice president and chief diversity officer at Lincoln Financial Group since November 2009, Green earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Spelman College and a master’s in counseling psychology from Howard University.  She is also a graduate of Lincoln’s executive leadership development program at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. Her professional and philanthropic efforts to provide access to and be a catalyst for achievement have been recognized nationally.

Green attributes her success to the guidance and wisdom gifted to her from others; she firmly believes in the responsibility to give of oneself, and the impact it has. “Real generosity toward the future consists of giving all to what is present,” she says, quoting the late French philosopher Albert Camus. “Goals that have been achieved, and others yet to come are a result of a generosity that has surprise dividends of recycling goodwill. Seeing another benefit from giving your time, attention and knowledge creates a surplus of cooperation and satisfaction.”

A mentor and advisor, Green has been a Big Sister with the Big Brother/Big Sister program, she was selected to participate with the Russell Byers Charter school, and she continues to serve the Philadelphia public schools through the Eagles Youth Partnership for vision care. She currently is a board member of the Philadelphia chapter of the Urban League.

At Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune 500 company offering insurance and financial services, Green is responsible for the diversity and inclusion strategy, and the oversight of the company’s practices in this area. Prior to this, she served as the corporate director of diversity for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, and for the investment management company Vanguard Group.
